I mean things like bitrate mismatches, sample rates that don’t agree, encoder reconnect delays, metadata not updating, AutoDJ crossfades being a bit too enthusiastic, or that one mount point setting nobody remembers changing but apparently controls the fate of the universe.
The funny thing is, the biggest broadcast disasters often come from the smallest checkbox. One minute everything sounds glorious, the next minute your stream is buffering like it’s downloading from 2003. Well, that’s not supposed to happen!
If you run a station, stream shows, or tinker with AzuraCast, Icecast, Shoutcast, BUTT, Mixxx, RadioDJ, or similar tools: what’s the smallest setting that caused you the biggest headache?
